Mentorship: 1 Zoom or Live Hour with Rebekah Leach
Founder of AerialDancing.com, Born to Fly Productions, and AerialWorks Castle Rock, Rebekah wears many hats in the aerial industry. Her background in dance (ballet, modern, hip hop, and salsa to name a few), rhythmic gymnastics, and math education informs her unique aerial curriculum. Rebekah's teaching specialty is developing curriculum for pre-beginners, or students who lack the upper body strength to do traditional beginning work. She also has developed a beginning and intermediate curriculum focused on theory and solving problems, so students truly understand the apparatus. Her goal is to train people to be innovators. She is passionate about helping people connect to their own bodies, integrate the body with the mind, and find one's own dance.
- Curriculum development, particularly pre-beginner through intermediate
- Creativity, improvisation, and finding the dance in the air
- Apparatus focus: aerial fabric, sling, hoop, sometimes trapeze & rope
The topics can cover anything from best business practices, how to set up your curriculum, to the nuances of creative work or building your own aerial fitness plan. Please note: These are different than lessons that teach aerial skills and these hours involve more talking than doing. However, sometimes, to illustrate a point, it is helpful to have an apparatus nearby just in case (not required).
The 1 hr zoom meeting must be completed within 2 months of purchase or will expire. Meeting can be over zoom or live, if you live locally!
